Research and Writing (RAW) Consultations

Page and pencilOur Research-and-Writing (RAW) Consultations provide an opportunity for undergraduate students to experience the interconnected researched writing process. This service is a collaboration between the Writers Workshop and Library Graduate Assistants (GAs) and is offered during our regular drop-in hours. It primarily aims to support students enrolled in courses that fulfill the Composition I requirement and assists students in better understanding the research resources available on campus. RAW consultations are held in the Orange Room in the Main Library (room 100). Library GAs can help with:

  • Defining and focusing research questions,
  • Developing a research strategy,
  • Modeling academic searching techniques,
  • Finding research materials and full text sources, and
  • Evaluating sources.Light bulb image
