The Writers Workshop hires UIUC students from across campus to work as part of our team. The Writers Workshop hires undergraduate students as Office Assistants and Undergraduate Peer Writing Consultants and hires graduate students as Graduate Writing Consultants and Science Writing Consultants. Our main office is in the Main Library, and this is where our office assistants work and where most of our consultants work, as well. Consultants may also express interest in working in our satellite locations: LAS Hub, Grainger Engineering Library, Irwin Academic Services, and MCB Learning Center (Science Writing Consultants only).

We pride ourselves in creating a collaborative, supportive, development-oriented work environment to help our team grow personally and professionally. We host regular staff meetings where our team can learn to better assist our writers and consultants can also suggest projects that benefit the WW and/or our writers.
